ZEFF (update)

Hi Teresa,

Sunday was a Howlidays party at the Dog Dish. Zeff (right) and Niobe (left)  got to visit Santa.  Zeff loved Santa, but Niobe was scared of him. The way Zeff is looking at Niobe it's like he's trying to tell her it's okay  and Santa doesn't bite. Or... he's telling her to knock it off and start behaving so they can both get some treats. Haaa...

ALEXA

Hey Teresa!

Just an update on our girl Alexa. She has blossomed beyond belief!!! She either sleeps with us (yes… in our bed) or with my son. She has the COMPLETE run of the house. We get enormous amounts of hugs and kisses. She has decided she is much more comfortable jumping onto my lap in the recliner and watching TV. If not in my lap she is laying on Diane in her chaise lounge or on the sofa. Bottom line… she is quite the cuddler. We love her very much!!!

MORGAN

Hi Teresa,  Things are going great with little Morgan -- he is just a Sweetheart! He has just settled right in to his new life.

A funny story about him -- a few days ago I was on the cell phone talking with a friend walking around the house as I did so. I realized that I couldn't find Morgan. I looked everywhere -- from top to the bottom of the house. I was frantic -- thinking the worst -- did he somehow get flushed down the toilet?? he's so little. Then I heard this little muffled whimper, but I still couldn't tell where it was coming from and I couldn't find him anywhere and got even more frantic thinking he was hurt and maybe caught under something (he's an acrobat, as you know). Well, the VERY last place I looked -- I opened the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom and all the things were strewn about -- and out pops none other than Morgan wagging his little tail. He is doing just great -- we go for walks three times a day, we go for rides -- he loves the car, and he sleeps right next to me cuddled up under my arm. He is just sooooo cute.

Hi Teresa,  Dinah has adapted well to our home and gets along great with all of our other 'babies'. She keeps us amused with her antics. You never know what she will attempt next - the girl is fearless. We love her so much and enjoy having her as part of our family. She has made two trips with us to visit family and she stole everyone's heart. Please know that she has a wonderful home and couldn't be more loved. She has everything she could possibly want - and then some. We provide her with an all natural dog food and treats. She is healthy and happy and spoiled rotten. Just as it should be! DOOLEY

Hi Teresa,  Our lovely little buddy is going great, gaining weight and following Judy everywhere. He is really attached to Judy. He is so cute. He does hate to go outside especially if he gets his feet wet. Thanks this lovely gift, and bless you for the work you do to protect those animals. I only wish we could adopt more. LIBBY - update

Hi Teresa, Here's an update on Libby

She has taken over the household!  She hides the boy's toys (Toby and Arkie), loves the yard, is enthralled with the parrot, watches the aquarium, has Mom and Dad wrapped around her paw, and is the lovingness' little girl.  The boys even love her.

MAGGIE

Teresa, We just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and let you know that Maggie is doing great! She transitioned into our lives so easily that it seems as though we have had her much longer than just a few months. I have a couple of friends who are cat lovers that say they prefer cat to dogs in general, but they dote over Maggie and claim they would get a dog if it could be just like Maggie. And my own mother who has never been enthusiastic about dogs absolutely adores Maggie. I hope the holidays find you, your family and your animals happy and healthy. Take care.

TYLER

Hi Teresa!!  Just wanted to share some wonderful news with you! Tyler just completed him Basic Obedience course (for the 2nd time!). But for the most exciting news...  Tyler PASSED his Canine Good Citizen Test!  He has earned his CGC certificate!!  Isn't that great?!! His little sister (Sis) also passed her CGC test the same night!

Tyler got to take his first vacation in October, with my Mom and me.  We went to New Mexico and Colorado for 4 days.  He had such a great time and was such a good boy everywhere we went.    ~ Tyler's very proud Mom,  ~ Becki

CUPCAKE (formerly Bridget)

Teresa,  I was up at 3:00 am, this morning, as usual. Cupcake got up with me and I took her out to go potty. When we returned, I got some coffee and went back to the living room and there, as usual, was Cupcake laying there with her feet in the air and her tummy exposed to me. I rubbed her tubby which she loves, massaged her body, her legs and feet and then her eyes & ears. I then gave her bunches of kisses which she also loves.  When I stop, she will look up at me, left her head and give me a small little kiss, lay her head back down and look at you like, "What you waitin’ on? Get busy with the massage!" She is so cute.

Her antics keep us occupied continuously. We are so thankful to you for bringing her into our lives. She has brought both of us so much joy and makes us laugh. She is playing ball now. She throws her ball, runs to get it, jumps on the bed, the couch, the chair - she doesn't care which one - she is having fun. She is so cute to watch.

Hello!  It’s the Root's here with Byron.  We just wanted to give you all an update of how things are with our family.  Byron is still doing so good!  He is still his old self, but with many improvements.  We think Byron will be 4 in September and we will celebrate his birthday again. He and Moose are still the best of buddies and are inseparable. The two of the them mostly enjoy the couches and cool wooden floors in the house.  Byron can follow many commands now and improves on a regular basis.  He sits, stays, lies down, shakes, gives hugs, and is "easy" taking treats from hand, all on command.  He and Moose LOVE to wrestle.  Byron has claimed Shawn as his own.  He adores Shawn and is always making eye contact with him to get more attention.

GRAYSON (formerly Webster)

Hi Teresa,

I can’t tell you how much “Webster” is a perfect match for me! It’s amazing really! I started calling him Grayson. He has been wonderful! He absolutely loves his new home. He’s been a very well behaved boy! He sleeps in bed with me at night. Grayson has already visited most of my family, their dogs/children, and he and behaved great with everyone. He’s playful, loving, and a very mild mannered boy. I really couldn’t ask for more! We went on our first walk together Saturday night and he was fantastic on the lead. I can’t thank you enough for what you do and for approving me for Grayson. He’s going to live “happily ever after” for sure!    ~ Thanks again!!

BUFFY, CODY, and CAROL

Hi Teresa,

Things are going great!!! Cody & Buffy are really smart and wonderful dogs!! I have two funny stories below:

I had to get after my 15 year old cat named Chance. He took great pleasure in getting poor Cody in a tight spot and hissing and spitting at him. All Cody wanted to do was get away. That became a problem when I was taking a bath and Chance corned Cody in the bathroom. Cody tried to get in the bath with me!! They are becoming friends with each other now.

Funny story the other day. Cody was being exceptionally rambunctious in the house and was being a bit of a pest. He did not want to stay outside & he was too rowdy for inside. I was trying unsuccessfully to get him to lie down & settle down. Finally Chance (15 year old cat) had had enough (even though he had not been involved in this up to this point). He ran up to Cody leaped up grabbed Cody around the neck, bit him and smacked him. Cody immediately laid down, quieted down & did not give me any more trouble for the rest of the morning!! Chance has trained many dogs.   Thank you again!!    ~ Carol

MARCIE

Hi Teresa,

I wish you could see Marcie and our German Shepherd play. They chase each other all around the yard, do their play bows and go again. I only let them do that in early morning or late evening because it is so hot out. Then the cocker spaniel and Marcie play tug-of-war in the house; that is fun to watch too. The cocker growls the whole time. LOL

MAGGIE

Hi Teresa,

Maggie is awesome! She transitioned into our lives almost seamlessly. She is so sweet and shares her affection with everyone in the family. She and Pepper play all the time, and it’s so cute to watch them rolling around. She sleeps in bed with Robert and me ever since the first night we brought her home. She is a great snuggler. 

Maggie LOVED the lake; swam a lot, both by herself and with us. We didn’t even have to coax her in the water the first time; she just walked in and started swimming! Then when we went swimming she would swim out to us for us to hold her in the water. She was very calm on the boat and liked to get her head above the side of it so she could look around. Hi Teresa,
Dinah is a treasure and we love her dearly. Our other little house dog, Riley, may not totally agree on that; however, this morning they were piled up on the bed together. Dinah sleeps with us at night, and I must say she is a bed hog. She is adorable. She starts at the foot of the bed but when we wake up she will be right up beside us with her head resting on our pillows. She loves to play with her toys. Her favorite spot is on the back of the couch. And, we have seen her acrobatics. She can jump from one chair to the other and then on over to the couch in just a blink of an eye. It's cute except when you happen to be sitting in her path. Little Dinah is making friends and having fun and living the good life. You can be certain that she will receive the best of care and lots of love. We thank you so much for bringing us together with this precious little girl -

Teresa,
Thank you, so much for Cassie!  I think that she's the most wonderful dog ever! My parents made it a surprise about her.  My whole family treasures and cherishes the little dog already!  This is the family's first dog so I'm asking one of my friends to teach us how to care for her and love her. (The loving part will be the easiest!) When I saw Cassie at first I was shocked!  I couldn't say anything or even scream because I knew it would scare her.  Again thank you so much for Cassie!  ~ Sofia

The kids are so happy and so is Cassie.  She's exploring the house now wagging her tail the whole time. She loves the kids. She responds to them much differently than she responds to me or Maria. The kids are going to be tired in the morning for school because I don't think they're going to be able to
sleep a wink before midnight.

I cannot express the feeling we experienced when meeting you ... you are truly an outstanding person for what you do for the animal world. You are truly amazing!!!!

We prepared Bridget a doggy "blankey" on the floor which she ignored, then laid down in front of Barbara's TV and went to sleep. I want you to know that whatever Bridget wants or needs, SHE WILL HAVE!!!!~~~

We have taken pictures of her already, and we will continue taking pictures in her future with us and ensure you remain "updated" on her "living, learning, loving and leaving a legacy" with her new parents.
